Buy Samsung Galaxy S22 in Russia? bad luck
Russia is increasingly in isolation, it is no longer possible to buy a product like the Samsung Galaxy S22.
More and more companies are breaking ties with Russia. Not only that, companies also pull their products off the shelves. Microsoft for example, but also Apple and recently Samsung. The South Korean tech company will immediately stop shipping products to Russia. A painful decision, from a business point of view. Because the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy S22 has just ended and there is of course also interest in this smartphone in Russia.
All Samsung products are no longer sold in Russia. A major decision. The tech company, of course, makes much more than just phones. Think of refrigerators, chips, televisions and many other electronic devices. Although Russia does not have a huge market share for many Western tech companies, the companies will feel this in their wallets. At the same time, it is an appeal to the country to end the war in Ukraine. The moral feeling outweighs the money here.
Slowly but surely, Russia is entering isolation. Censored news, social media being throttled and less access to (Western) products. The aim of many governments is to make the country a kind of pariah. With such a severe economic decline, they are trying to stop Russia’s attacks in Ukraine. (via Bloomberg)
