Update: That was faster than expected, Apple is already announcing news for Apple Music. The rumor mill was wrong with the name, but not with the actual feature. Because with “Lossless Audio” the US provider actually offers the from June High-end version of Apple MusicIf required, a catalog of more than 75 million songs can then be transmitted with ALAC (Apple Lossless Audio Codec) – lossless audio enjoyment. Then there is the Dolby Atmos support for Apple’s 3D audio (Spatial Audio). And what does the fun cost? Not a cent more, Apple Music customers will get the additional features from June without surcharge to be able to use. However, Apple has not yet mentioned an exact day of the launch.
However, what Apple has not yet presented was the forecast 3rd generation AirPods, we still owe them. They may actually follow tomorrow, Tuesday – let’s be surprised.

The English-language original is even a bit more brash when it comes to addressing the user: “Get ready – music is about to change forever.” The US manufacturer only owes us what Apple wants to tell us in concrete terms, because the announcement currently only links to a short and silent video with a spinning Apple Music logo – what’s that supposed to mean?
Apple Music HiFi and AirPods 3 for May 18th?
There is an unequivocal assumption in this regard that fits perfectly with the rumors and hints of the past few days. According to them, Apple is planning to introduce one new service called “Apple Music HiFi” – we already reported. Behind this is the option of a losslessly compressed audio transmission within Apple Music, ultimately the High-end version of Apple Music for fine ears. Initially, there were only references to this in the source code of iOS 14.6, later clear references were added within the web app and the beta of the Android app from Apple Music. In short: Apple Music HiFi can no longer be denied and should be announced by Apple as soon as possible.
Do you believe that? YouTuber Luke Miani, “soon” could mean that the service will be a reality in just a few hours. Miani expects an official one Introducing Apple Music HiFi for May 18th right away together with the AirPods 3, the third generation of the popular wireless Apple headphones.
