‘Brand new MacBook Air with 15-inch screen coming in 2023’
Apple is working on a MacBook Air with a 15-inch screen. Never before has there been a MacBook Air with such a large screen.
Read on after the ad.
MacBook Air will soon have a 15-inch screen
The current MacBook Air has a 13.3-inch screen. This makes the laptop not small, but certainly not big either. Many professional users therefore opt for the MacBook Pro, which has a larger screen of 14- or 16-inch. However, the Pro is also a lot more expensive. According to a new rumor, Apple will release a larger variant of the MacBook Air in 2023 to meet the needs of a wider audience.
The rumor comes from reliable tasty Ross Younga screen analyst at DSCC† He states that the screen of the large MacBook Air is ‘about 15 inches in size’. The new laptop also comes in a familiar 13-inch variant; so people can choose. The 13-inch version is a lot more manageable, but with a 15-inch screen, editing photos or editing videos is more pleasant.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard a rumor about a larger MacBook Air. In 2021 reported Mark Gurman from Bloomberg already that Apple was “considering a bigger MacBook Air.” With the rumor coming from multiple reliable sources, there’s a good chance the laptop is actually in development.
More about the new MacBook Air
There has been talk for months now about a new MacBook Air with a refreshed design. The laptop would follow the MacBook Pro, with thinner screen edges and a notch. These screen edges would be white, unlike the black bezels of the Pro. As a result, both laptops have a completely different look.

In addition to the white screen edges, the new MacBook Air would come on the market in all kinds of different colors. For example, think of blue, purple and green – similar to the colors of the iMac and the iPad Air. The new MacBook Air would also be equipped with a brand new M2 chip. It is not yet clear what its specifications are. You could, however, connect multiple external monitors to the Air: at least two.
