The operator choice depends on the goal
All Operators bring different benefits. However, you should always adapt your operator choice to the mission objectives.
However, one thing is always important, no matter what your goal: On the one hand, you should always have information about the whereabouts of the nests, so you don’t get overwhelmed by a never-ending spawn of enemies. And on the other hand, you should always keep an eye on your health. That’s why some classes are just better than others.
However, if you want to unlock all trophies and achievements, you can’t avoid playing all operators, since you have to level up each character to max level 10 for an achievement.
Doc – a doctor for everyone
Doc is always a good choice for public reasons. Not only can he heal his teammates, but he can also heal himself. Initially, his shots heal for 15 life points. Once you get him to level 7, his salvos actually heal for 30 life points.
So it’s one of the few options, besides med kits of course, to heal yourself and your teammates. Since your health is an important resource, Doc can always help you.
What’s more, he can even remotely revive downed comrades with his resuscitation pistol.
Rook – Armor on demand
In addition to health, of course, a increased damage resistance be important. Rook’s Armored Protection Plates give the team just that: 20% reduced damage. More importantly, you can’t fall unconscious while wearing a Rook armor plate.
Not only as a solo player, but also for team players, Rook can be extremely helpful and make one or the other precarious situation a little easier.
Pulse – recognize your dangers & targets early
One of your biggest threats are nests. These allow an infinite number of aliens to spawn if you don’t turn them off.
With the heart sensor from Pulse, which you can use without restrictions, spot nests, missing people and VIPs through walls and other obstacles. You mark your targets, like the nests, in advance and can switch them off quietly. Increasing the level of Pulse also increases the range of the sensor.
With it, your team can get a good overview of the situation, see through the respective situation more easily and thus act better. If you level it up, the heart sensor is even used passively, i.e. even if you are not actively holding it in your hand, although the range is then slightly reduced. You unlock the passive sensor at level 7 and the radius from the wrapped sensor is 8 meters.
Sledge – creates new paths & can stun enemies
Sledge can be used offensively as well as defensively. With his tactical hammer he can not only destroy walls and thus create new ways but also stun enemies. So you can carve new paths to and from targets and stun enemies when the going gets tough. Stunned aliens can then be eliminated very easily by a takedown.
Even stronger enemies, such as the rager, can stun Sledge with his hammer.
Hibana – explosives for strong opponents
Hibana can act quietly due to her silencer on the weapon, but she can also hold her own against strong opponents. You can of course also use her ability “X-Kairos”, i.e. her remotely detonated explosive, against small opponents, but you should rather use it against larger enemies.
Due to the explosives and the high damage, she often has no problems against the stronger opponents on the higher levels of difficulty. So Hibana can protect you and your team from unnecessary damage by taking care of the aliens and eliminating them in no time at all.
