Bad news if you were hoping for a GTA IV remaster
You don’t have to hope for a remaster of GTA IV in the coming period.
It has been hoping for a brand new Grand Theft Auto for years. Unfortunately it is still very quiet around part six. Instead, Rockstar Games focuses on GTA Online and the perpetual release of remasters. But those hoping for a short-term remaster of GTA IV have to be disappointed.
For example, Kotaku reports that they have completely different things on their mind at Rockstar Games. A remaster of this GTA and Red Dead Redemption is not in it for the time being. The reason for this decision has everything to do with the release of the GTA V remaster earlier this year.
In March, a new edition of this game and GTA Online was released for the current generation of consoles. However, the graphical differences compared to the original games were negligible. It turned out to be a huge disappointment and Rockstar came in for a lot of criticism.
Just releasing a remaster of GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption in this case is therefore not a very smart thing to do. Instead, Rockstar better focus on GTA 6, and hopefully they will now.
