Xiaomi already launched the Xiaomi 12 series for the Chinese market at the end of last year. Now it’s time for the Dutch release of the phones. It concerns the Xiaomi 12, 12X and the 12 Pro. We list all the details for you.

Xiaomi 12 Series Announced

Xiaomi has announced its new high-end smartphones for the European market. This means that we can also expect the phones in our country soon, where we can explain the carpet for three models. The devices in question are the Xiaomi 12, the Xiaomi 12 Pro and the Xiaomi 12X. The devices were previously presented for the Chinese market. The 12 and the 12X are the same on the outside, different on the inside.

All three models have a modern video studio with different capabilities, as well as different options for entertainment. The Xiaomi 12 and the 12 Pro both have a 50 megapixel main camera and the option to film in 8K. There are several AI functions available that should come in handy in all conditions, for the best photos and videos. With Ultra Night Video it should be possible to make good videos in the dark hours.

The Xiaomi 12 and the 12 Pro both come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. With the Xiaomi 12X, this is a Snapdragon 870 chipset. You can charge the Pro with 120W (wired) or wirelessly with 50W. With the Xiaomi 12 we see a 67W wired charger and 50W wireless. The battery of the Xiaomi 12X can only be charged by wire; that also goes with 67 watts. The first two models also have AdaptiveCharge, where the charging algorithm adapts to your charging habits, which should extend the battery life. Striking detail; the Xiaomi 12X still comes with Android 11, while the other two models come with Android 12.

• Xiaomi 12: configurations 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB from 899 euros
• Xiaomi 12X: configurations 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB from 699 euros

With these prices, the starting price is 50 euros higher than that of the models from the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. Xiaomi once started as a price stunt; but is now presumably passing that baton to models in the Poco and Redmi line.
