ASUS ROG Phone II gets Android 11 after a long time
In recent years, ASUS has built a very decent name on the market thanks to its worldwide gaming smartphones. Many models of gaming smartphones are still manufactured under the ROG brand. They have customized parameters for the best mobile gaming experience.
Improved cooling technology and custom software with game settings are different from more common smartphones, but they also have some shortcomings. The XDA-Developers programming forum has published information about the upcoming update to the older model of the smartphone from the ASUS ROG brand.
What changes will the update to ASUS ROG Phone II bring?
ASUS has never excelled in providing rapid system updates for its ROG model lines. In the coming days, users of ASUS ROG Phone II smartphones will finally see operating system updates for Android 11. These smartphones have been on the market since 2019.
The company has not yet announced the arrival of a major update on its English website, but a complete list of changes and improvements is already available on the Chinese website. The beta of the mentioned update has been available since the end of September. The update comes to smartphones with the number 18.0210.2111.160 and is officially launched from Tuesday, November 23, 2021.
Includes screen capture features, a new user interface for apps, changes to privacy settings, and new notification settings for individual conversations. Another change will be the design modification for the ROG UI superstructure. The changed design can now be found on the newer ROG Phone 3 and ROG Phone 5 smartphones.
You can check for updates by going to settings and system updates. If you are interested in a manual installation, a link to start the download automatically and a detailed list of changes can be found on the XDA-Developers website.
