Apple would announce the 15-inch MacBook Air at WWDC 2023
The 15-inch MacBook Air now has a presentation date: it will be June 5 for the opening keynote of WWDC 2023 if we are to believe information from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg.
Several signs had already suggested an arrival by WWDC, but it remained to be seen whether Apple would wait until its June conference to unveil its new portable Mac or would take care of making a simple announcement via a press release as sometimes happens. This will obviously be the first option.
The first rumors about the 15-inch MacBook Air emerged in 2022. Everything suggests that the computer will be equivalent to the 13-inch model, but simply with a larger screen. We must also expect the same power knowing that Apple would offer the M2 chip. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently mentioned two variants of the M2 chip, which is already a reality with the 13-inch model.
No design changes have been announced for the 15-inch MacBook Air. We should therefore always find a notch on the screen, a 1080p webcam, a MagSafe 3 charging port, two USB-C / Thunderbolt 3 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack and several colors like midnight, starlight, gray sidereal and silver. It remains to be seen what the price will be. The 13-inch model starts at €1,499.
