Apple TV +: Foundation is among the 10 most pirated series in 2021

The series Apple TV + are slowly gaining popularity. Even if the number of subscribers to the service (40 million overall, including 20 million paid subscriptions) is still very far from the big names of SVoD, the series and films of the platform are starting to make their way into the hearts of viewers … and pirates! Thereby, according to TorrentFreak, series Foundation, based on cult novels byIsaac asimov, would be one of the most pirated series of this ending year.

Foundation would thus point to the 7th place of the most pirated series of 2021, behind Wandavision (1st), Loki (2nd), The Witcher (3rd), The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (4th), Hawkeye (5th), and What If …? (6th). Apple TV + more popular with pirates than HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video or even Starz? Yes, and it’s still a little surprise.

It should be noted, however, that Apple TV + content generally enjoys excellent critical feedback and is often nominated at the main award ceremonies (Golden Globes in particular). The choice of quality over quantity is still struggling to “pay” in terms of subscriptions, but the enthusiasm of pirates could well herald a somewhat more serene future for the platform.
