Apple TV+ announces The Last Frontier, a series starring Jason Clarke
AppleTV+ announcement gave the green light to The Last Frontier, a new 10-episode series starring Jason Clarke in the lead role. The Australian actor is best known for starring in Lawless men, Zero Dark Thirty, Planet of the Apes: The Showdown And Terminator Genisys.
Starring Jason Clarke as U.S. Marshal Frank Remnick, The Last Frontier follows Frank, the sole marshal in charge of the tranquil and rugged Alaskan moors, whose jurisdiction is upended when a prisoner transport plane crashes into the remote wilderness, freeing dozens of violent inmates. Tasked with protecting the city he’s sworn to protect, he begins to suspect that the crash was no accident, but the first step in a well-laid plan with international political implications.
The new series will be produced by Apple Studios. Sam Hargrave will direct the first episode and serve as executive producer alongside Jason Clarke, Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D’Ovidio, who are the two creators of the program.
The Last Frontier will be entitled to 10 episodes, but it is not specified if there will be other seasons. Also, there is no information about the rest of the cast or the release date.
