Apple puts HomePod and HomePod mini on sale in Denmark
The HomePod and HomePod mini arrive in a new country, with Apple marketing the two speakers in Denmark. The previous launch took place in Singapore, it was last month.
The HomePod mini is sold for 899 Danish kroner, which is 121€. In France, the small format loudspeaker is marketed at the price of 109€. It is therefore technically a little more expensive with our neighbours. As for the full-size HomePod, the price is 2,599 Danish kroner, or €349. For once, it’s the same price in France.
Apple first released the HomePod mini in November 2020 in several countries, including the United States and France (with a price of €99 at the time). There has not been a new model since. Apple simply offered new colors in November 2021. And given the launch today in Denmark, we can suspect that a second generation HomePod mini is not planned, at least not right away.
For its part, the large HomePod was discontinued in 2021. Then Apple decided to relaunch it in January 2023 with a new model. The speaker features a similar design to the original one, with a larger backlit touch surface and a few other improvements. Despite having two fewer tweeters, reviewers found the new HomePod to sound virtually the same as the original, but Siri still has shortcomings compared to other virtual assistants.
