Apple Pay is coming to Malaysia
Apple Pay has just landed in Malaysia (32.3 million inhabitants) after a slight ignition delay. The main banks in the country, namely AmBank, Maybank and Standard Chartered Bank, therefore now offer Apple Pay support to their customers, which means that they can save their Visa and Mastercard cards in Wallet (sorry, Cards) and pay then online or in stores with their iPhone or Apple Watch. Note that support for the American Express card will come a little later.
Launched on tiptoe, Apple Pay is now the most widespread remote and mobile payment system in the world. Apple Pay is present in more than 60 countries, which is far ahead Google Pay (about forty countries) and even further ahead Samsung Pay (25 countries covered).
