Apple is preparing an anti-theft system for the Mac Studio

The Mac Studio, available today for purchase, will have the right to an anti-theft system. Apple hasn’t announced it publicly, but has already shared the news with its employees as noted in a memo obtained by MacRumors.

An anti-theft device for the Mac Studio is on the way

There’s a hole in the bottom of the Mac Studio, and naturally several people have had questions about it. What is it used for ? Today it is useless. But in the future, it will allow to put an anti-theft system on the Mac Studio. Unfortunately, Apple does not communicate the price, just as it does not reveal the design or the release date.

It will be interesting to see how this system will work. Apple has been selling a security lock adapter for the Mac Pro for a while now. This connects to the back of the computer, so there is no problem. In the case of the Mac Studio, the hole is on the lower part, the one facing the desktop. How can we put a lock? The Mac Studio starts at 2,299 euros for the model with the M1 Max chip and starts at 4,599 euros for the model with the M1 Ultra chip. If you want to treat yourself and take the most expensive model, you will have to spend 9,199 euros.
