You can enter from where to where you are traveling and then the app can recommend all kinds of hotels, restaurants and activities. That saves a lot of searching on Tripadvisor. According to the makers of the app, more than 25 million trips have been planned using Roadtrippers.
You do not need to create an account for this app, but it is handy to do so. This makes it easier to save things. In any case, the app already works a lot better if you turn on your location, so that it knows where it stands. However, that only makes sense if you are already at the location, because a disadvantage that sticks to Roadtrippers is that it is not exactly Europe-minded.

There are locations in the world outside the United States where you can use Roadtrippers, and you will certainly come across places in France, for example, but in general it is a very English-focused app. This means that you can use it to plan a nice backpacking trip in Australia, for example, but not a Eurotrip. Too bad, because it’s well put together, so it would benefit from being a bit more complete.
The nice thing about the app is that it also contains routes. So, for example, someone who has done the Route 66 and has made a nice Roadtrip from it. However, you can add a maximum of 7 places to your Roadtrip with a free account within this app. If you want more, you can upgrade to Plus where you get 150 spots per trip to use. You can also use offline maps and you get options to share your Roadtrip with friends to plot your trip together.

Roadtrip is a nice app, but it is a shame that it is currently mainly focused on locations where English is spoken. On the other hand, the United States, Canada and Australia are typical areas where you will make a big road trip, so if you are lucky enough to be going to one of these locations soon, this is definitely an app to take with you.
