Android 13 gets improved flashlight
Google released the first Developer Preview of Android 13 last month. We saw several new features that will make their appearance in the new version. Now there are reports coming in about another new feature, which has to do with the flashlight.
Android 13 with Flashlight Enhancement
Samsung has long offered the option to adjust the intensity of the flashlight, now Android 13 finally gets that support. This is evident from new messages that have surfaced. Several clues have been found in the code of the new Android version that reveal the improvement. The improvement relates to the flashlight function. Where Android already has support for switching the LED flash on and off to serve as a flashlight, adjusting the brightness of this is not possible.
That will change with Android 13. Indications show that it becomes possible to adjust the brightness of the flashlight. The amount of light that can be adjusted partly depends on the hardware. Manufacturers and app developers still have to apply the functionality in their devices, but with Android 13 it should be possible to adjust this. It is a function that Samsung and Apple, for example, have been offering for a long time. With Samsung it looks like in the screenshot above.
