Android 12 makes it easier to download apps outside of Play Store
With the latest Android version, Android 12, it becomes easier to download applications outside of the Play Store. It is the first time that Google has made this process a lot easier.
Download apps outside of Play Store
Last week there was the announcement of the new Android 12. We immediately wrote an extensive article about this with the new functions in Android 12. However, users get even more new functions, as is clear from new instructions.
Now when you install apps outside of the Google Play Store, you will need to adjust the permissions that allow this. In addition, applications are not automatically updated in this way, so you have to work with separate APK files. Very cumbersome. It has now been announced that this will change with the arrival of Android 12.
Android 12 makes it possible that applications that have not been removed from the Play Store can simply be updated in the background with updates. This way you don’t have to download and install everything manually. However, the relevant app store must support this option.
The reason for the arrival of the new position is partly due to criticism. Companies like Apple and Google would take power into their own hands by demotivating the use of alternative app stores. This has led, among other things, to a lawsuit that was filed by Fortnite developer Epic Games against Apple.
