Amazon is increasingly investing in German formats
Prime Video wants to focus on German content for streaming customers in the near future. Not only are new series included, football fans should also get something on offer. And Amazon also takes on explosive topics.
Amazon has presented new content for its in-house streaming service Prime Video. Anyone who gets an overview quickly sees that the main thing is: It’s the mix that counts. From drama series to comedy to live soccer and sports documentaries, a wide spectrum is covered. “Our goal is to create great originals for our customers in Germany that also inspire a global audience,” said Georgia Brown, Director European Amazon Originals at Prime Video. So you don’t set yourself a small goal – it is ultimately up to the streaming customers to decide whether it will be held.
Big names away from the camera: Fitzek and Hohlbein soon on Amazon
With Wolfgang Hohlbein’s “Der Greif”, the producers pour a classic of German fantasy literature into the series format, 6 episodes are scheduled. Author colleague Sebastian Fitzek gave his OK for 3 film adaptations of his novels. Here, too, a series is to be created; the company has dates in its Message not known. To this end, the new edition of “Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo” is due to start on February 19 – there are also new films and series coming to Prime. 6 episodes of “Luden” about the Hamburg red light district should not be easy fare. The same applies to a planned crime series about Hamburg’s “Acid Barrel Murderer”.
Instead, it should be funny with new episodes of “Binge – Reloaded” and the start of the comedy hit “LOL – Last One Laughing” – appropriately scheduled for April 1st. Here 10 German humor professionals will fight against their nature and try not to laugh.

Football fans get their money’s worth on Amazon Prime Video
