‘Almost in the menopause, divorced and an STD’
There are those things that everyone wholeheartedly associates with teens and twenties, but these moms prove that there can always be a first time for everything, no matter what age you are.
Claudia (45) is mother of Abel (12) and Sarah (10):
“The first time I shared a bed with a man I was seventeen and he became the father of my children. So when I divorced, I thought I had some catching up to do and used the childless weeks to hooker and slut. When I went to the doctor for a Pap smear, he suggested an STD test, because: ‘You’re dating, right?”
Two weeks later I was at the pharmacy with chlamydia – almost menopausal and my first STD. Instead of enjoying my freedom, I called the men I’d ended up with. Who the ‘culprit’ was, I have no idea. But from now on I will always use a broken one.”

An act of pity
Yolande (42) is mother of Eva (14), Linda (12) and Floris (9):
“Just separated for six months, I thought I was at the peak of my life. My future was open, the dating world was waiting. Just let my heart heal and, not unimportantly, braces for a year, to step into the world as the best version of myself.
