Sony announced a new smartphone this morning. It is the Sony Xperia Pro-I, where all arrows are aimed at the camera of the device. The thing that catches the eye the most is the 1.0 inch large camera sensor.

Sony Xperia Pro-I

We (almost) all take pictures with a smartphone. The new Sony Xperia Pro-I should make this even better and easier for you. The brand has announced the first smartphone, which is equipped with a 1.0 inch Exmor RS image sensor. Thanks to phase-detection autofocus, a beautiful photo can also be taken in low light, combined with bokeh and a high dynamic range. The BIONZ X technology should ensure noise-free, clear images.

Because it is possible to focus on 315 autofocus points, objects can be captured at high speed and with great accuracy, the Japanese manufacturer promises. The camera can also be filmed in 4K 120p. The main sensor is a 12 megapixel 24mm lens. This is assisted by a 12 megapixel 16mm wide-angle lens and a 50mm telephoto lens of 12 megapixel. The Sony Xperia Pro-I is also equipped with a 3D iTOF depth sensor. All the functions you need on a (smartphone) camera can be found with the Xperia Pro-I. For the camera, the company is once again collaborating with ZEISS. For taking photos, the Xperia is again equipped with a shutter button, which uses the shutter switch module from the Sony RX100 series.
