Robot hoovers are a really practical invention. They keep the apartment and house clean and you basically don’t have to do anything other than make them work. Aldi and Lidl now sell two vacuum robots at low prices, but with the alternative from Xiaomi you will be much happier in the long run.

Aldi sells vacuum robots for less than 100 euros

In recent years, vacuum robots have become cheaper and cheaper. While not so long ago you had to spend several hundred euros for it, you can now get models for as little as 100 euros. So too at Aldi Süd from June 21, 2021. There the Medion MD 19500 becomes Price of only 99.99 euros offered.

It can hardly be cheaper. This is then also reflected in the range of functions. You basically get the absolute basic equipment. The robot vacuum cleaner can vacuum, has two rotating brushes at the front and a roller brush in the middle, where the dirt is sucked up. The suction process can be started directly on the device or by remote control. More is not possible. The Medion vacuum robot has no intelligent navigation or sensors and is therefore dependent on contact with obstacles in order to change direction. Rooms with many obstacles are a big problem here. The cleaning is never really thorough. If, on the other hand, the room is almost empty, you can also buy such a cheap vacuum robot.

Lidl sells vacuum robots with a wiping function

Xiaomi robot vacuum with intelligent navigation

I used a “stupid” vacuum robot myself. Since switching to a Xiaomi model with sensors and intelligent navigation, I’ve only seen the gigantic added value of such a vacuum robot. This eliminates the annoying bumping into obstacles, which makes a lot of loud noises, and it is also really clean because the robot knows where it has already been. Costs of 200 euros or more are sometimes more money, but are also worth it because you get a much better result. The models I mentioned are the cheapest variants.
