A carbon watch band is now available for Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and 5
The Samsung Galaxy Watch is of course beautiful in itself, but sometimes you want a strap that fits your outfit just that little bit better. Or that is very strong. There is now a strap made of carbon. The PITAKA brand has come up with it and the advantage is that the material is nice and light, so you don’t have the feeling of wearing a chain mail on your wrist.

Carbon isn’t commonly used in wearable straps, but it’s actually a good choice. It does not corrode, it is very lightweight and it also has roots in the automotive industry and Formula 1. PITAKA’s strap uses 100 percent 1K carbon fiber and the strap weighs only 30 grams, which is half of a steel strap while you don’t have to compromise on sturdiness. The different links fit together smoothly for a comfortable feel and the material can also withstand water and sweat.
Plus, where you wear your watch with your teeth clenched in the morning with the cold steel in the winter, you don’t suffer from that with carbon: it doesn’t get that cold. Plus, the strap is comfortable enough to wear through the night too, leaving you wondering if you should take it off. After all, you can now also do your sleep measurements more easily, despite wearing a strap with links.

The strap has a magnetic mechanism to click into place and a safety lock to ensure it does not come off easily. It can be used for fairly wide wrists: it is suitable for wrists of up to 178 millimeters. People with thin wrists can adjust the length of the watch strap themselves thanks to a tutorial.
This sturdy band is suitable for Samsung Galaxy Watch4, Watch4 Classic, Watch5 and Watch5 Pro. It is not a cheap strap: you will spend about 90 euros on it and you can buy it via PITAKA itself or Amazon.
