NL-Alert will be tested with control message on June 13, 2022
A new control message is sent out for NL-Alert. The test will be conducted by the government on June 13, 2022. What do you need to know about the test message?
NL-Alert on June 13th
On Monday 13 June NL-Alert will be tested with a control message. The Dutch government has announced this. Normally this happens on the first Monday of the month, several times a year, but because of Whit Monday this has been postponed by a week. The air raid siren will not be heard next Monday.
With a check message from NL-Alert, you can check whether your smartphone is correctly set up to receive an NL-Alert. It is the government’s means of alert in the event of an emergency. Think of a large fire, smoke cloud with toxic substances, an attack or natural disaster.
The test message
The NL-Alert test message will be as follows;
“NL-Alert 13-06-2022 12:00: TEST MESSAGE. The government warns you during emergency situations via NL-Alert. You will then read what to do and where you can find more information. Look at www.nl-alert.nl *** TEST MESSAGE Netherlands Government Public Warning System. No action required. More information: www.nl-alert.nl/english”
