Mozilla comes with its own mail app: Thunderbird for Android
Mozilla has announced that a mobile version of Thunderbird is finally on the way. Mozilla’s mail service will have its own (Android) app for smartphones. An alternative to well-known mail apps such as Spark, Outlook and Gmail?
Thunderbird for the smartphone
On the computer, Mozilla’s Thunderbird mail service is already a well-established name. On the smartphone, that is actually not the case at all. After all, the service is not available on the phone. Strange for a service that already has such a large group of users. However, this is about to change, according to the German colleagues at Caschy’s Blog.
It would be a service that will be available open source. The priority will be with an Android app, the company says. There is not much more information available yet. The app should appear ‘soon’, but a term for this is not mentioned. So it is unknown what it will look like, but hopefully we will get more information about this soon.
