In Elden Ring, Forging Stones are highly coveted because they allow you to upgrade your weapons. In this guide, we will show you how to purchase Forge Stones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 using the Forge Stone Prospector’s Sound Beads, so you don’t have to spend a long time searching or farming.

This is how you can buy forging stones in Elden Ring

Since the locations of forging stones are limited, you can use an opportunity in Elden Ring to Permanently unlock forgestones for purchase at the twin maiden shells in Round Table Keep.

For this you have to give them a specific sound bead that you can find in the game world. So as long as you have enough runes, you can buy unlimited wrought stones and improve your weapons.

Find the Forge Prospector’s Sounding Bead (1).

You will receive the corresponding sound bead to unlock the forging stones 1 and 2 in the twin maiden shells as a Reward from the final boss “Crystallians” in the optional dungeon “Crystal Tunnels of Raya Lucaria”which is located in Liurnia.

You can theoretically go here right after the start of the game, since you Take the secret path east of Castle Stormveil to get to Liurnia in the north. You must then ride across the lake until you come to the crystal tunnels further north. You are right near the great wandering mausoleum.

However, you must make it through the dungeon and defeat the final boss to get the Sounding Bead. However, the boss is not particularly difficult, but you should at least have invested a hammer weapon and a few attribute points in strength. Crystalline enemies are very vulnerable to bludgeoning weapons and with a hammer you make short work of it and can always interrupt the Crystalian’s attacks. Also, use the help of Spirit Ash to make it even easier.

For the 2nd Forgestone Miner’s Sound Bead, you must first reach the Altus Plateau. For example, by assembling the Dectus medallion and then taking the Dectus Grand Elevator up to the Altus Plateau in northern Liurnia.

Then follow the path as marked on the map below to the Sealed Tunnel optional dungeon.

You don’t have to play through this dungeon to the end to get the sound bead. After the first Place of Mercy, smash the illusion wall on the right to enter a larger cave. Here you will find a chest with the sound bead. In the following video we show you the exact location:

Find the Forge Prospector’s Sounding Bead (3).

The third Forgestone Miner’s Soundbead can only be found after defeating Morgott at the Elden Throne in Leyndell. Then rest at a Place of Grace to receive the Medallion of Rold from Melina. Now you can leave the city via the bridge in the east and take the elevator from Rold to the mountain top of the giants. By the way, once you have assembled the Secret Haligbaum Medallion, you can unlock an alternative path here.

You will receive the fourth Forgestone Miner’s sound bead automatically during the course of the game, but only in the endgame. You get them as a reward after the boss fight against the godscalp duo in the ruined Farum Azula. You can’t miss this fight.

the Forgestone Miner’s Sounding Bead (4). unlocks Forgestones 7 and 8 at the Twin Maiden Shells at the following prices:

• Forge stone 7 for 2400 runes apiece
• wrought stone 8 for 3600 runes apiece

There is no Forgestone Miner’s Sounding Bead (5) in Elden Ring. To upgrade weapons to the highest level +25, you need an Ancient Dragonforge Stone. These have fixed locations in the game world and cannot be bought.
