Grand Prix Radio
Grand Prix Radio has had a special app developed, namely one where you can listen to the Formula 1 sounds and the commentary of Olav Mol, exactly as we have been used to for a hundred years. For this you can mute the sound of, for example, ViaPlay on your television and then use the app to still hear the familiar sound of Olav.
The app makes it possible to synchronize with the Formula 1 broadcasts: you can set that yourself, so if you watch a stream with a bit of delay, for example, you can ensure that the Grand Prix Radio app comments are still exactly the same as that of the race. It does not matter whether you watch ViaPlay’s live stream or that of F1TV Pro.

You can sync it all by yourself by using a slider that opens automatically in the radio station’s web player. Grand Prix Radio writes: “The slider has a recognizable design, such as with Spotify, for example. This is recognizable for everyone and easy to use. It is important that you start the slider in the Grand Prix Radio app in time, so that you can build up a buffer so that synchronization is ultimately possible. The most ideal would be to turn on the app five minutes before the start of the Formula 1 broadcast in order to build up that buffer.”
Olav also seems to indicate in his comments what is to be seen, so that you can synchronize the image even better. He does that in the warm-up lap. In addition to the sweet-voiced sound of the well-known racing expert, the sound of the on-board computers and the sounds on the track can also be heard, so you can safely mute your television and use your phone (or possibly a Bluetooth speaker). for the sound.
Race season 2022 starts
A few more hours and then it will all go off: will Ferrari indeed make a comeback and will Lewis Hamilton manage to take his championship title back from Max Verstappen? The 2022 racing season kicks off at 4 p.m. with the first Grand Prix of the year: Bahrain. Have fun!
