Paying with Bitcoin on eBay
On the international eBay, paying with regular currency is the way of business. But what if paying with Bitcoin on eBay becomes a possibility?
It’s not that crazy at all to think that. There are new developments going on at eBay. In an interview with TheStreet, eBay CEO Jamie Iannone says there may be support for paying with cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin on eBay.
But that is thinking very far ahead. First, that support has to come on the platform and also work properly and safely. The question is whether customers are also waiting for payment transactions with cryptocurrency. In any case, it would be a good development for crypto. Being able to pay in more and more places makes cryptocurrency more normal and a serious alternative to the well-known payment methods.
eBay is open to more innovations, as the past has shown. The international trading platform for new and used items came with support for Apple Pay and Google Pay, among other things. The company also supports Afterpay in Australia as a payment option. Cryptocurrency would be a nice addition. In any case, the sound that the company is open to the arrival of crypto does not sound that crazy, given previous innovations they have made.
