Netflix is set to prepare The Elder Scrolls -apkrig series
Insider Daniel Richtman came to his Patreon with the information that Netflix, in cooperation with Bethesda Softworks, is preparing a serial adaptation of the game saga The Elder Scrolls. According to his unofficial reports, this is supposed to be a similarly ambitious project as the Sorcerer’s TV.
Everyone wants a piece of the game world
It is not an unlikely partnership at all. It is worth noting that the series based on Fallout by Bethesda was announced in July this year. For a change, the authors of Westworld stand behind it and aim at the competing Prime Video service from Amazon. Bethesda’s Todd Howard is to be the executive producer for the project.
The fact that the worlds of video games, film and television are becoming more and more intertwined, but best proves that this is not the only novelty of the parties in the adaptation of digital brands in recent days. Director Johannes Roberts (47 meters, The Dark Side of the Door) was to finish filming Resident Evil with his team just before the end of the year.
It is a reboot of this series, in which Kaya Scodelario, Robbie Amell, Avan Jogia, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hopper, Neal McDonough or Donal Logue will appear. As we wrote before, it will be a so-called origin story, which will take us back to 1998 and tell us how it all started. Compared to previous film adaptations, the novelty is supposed to stick to the originals much more closely. In this case, the first two games of the Resident Evi series.
We can look forward to returning to Raccoon City and the Spencers’ headquarters. The new film began to be prepared at the beginning of 2017. The filmmakers promise that Resident Evil will be scary again and should evoke the same feelings that we experienced when playing the first games of this saga. It has been filmed in Canada since mid-October this year.
