Generous Elon. Because Elon Musk has given away billions of euros to charity through a donation.
The richest man in the world will not look at a million more or less. Or in this case a billion. The wealthiest people in the world are not rich because of huge flaps of money, but usually because of their large share in one or more companies. It’s no different with Elon Musk. But the entrepreneur has decided to give away part of his assets. Elon Musk has actually given away five billion euros to Tesla to charity.

It concerns a total of 5 million Tesla shares. It’s not like Elon Musk is patting himself on the back by coming up with this information about the donation. The information came out through filings from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The information is public and available to everyone. Musk gave away the shares in the period from November 19 to 29, 2021. It has been a few months since this happened. But that info is only now coming out through the SEC documents
It is unknown what cause Elon Musk supported with his donation. The SEC documents do not have to state which foundation has received the amount.
