Samsung Galaxy S22: prices in euros leak with bad news
After leaking prices in dollars, here are those in euros for Samsung’s Galaxy S22. These are the same as when the Galaxy 21s launched last year, but there is bad news for the Ultra model.
Galaxy S22 prices
Here are the prices of the Samsung Galaxy S22 according to Roland Quandt, which is very well informed thanks to commercial sources:
- Galaxy S22 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage: 849 euros
- Galaxy S22 with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage: 899 euros
- Galaxy S22 + with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage: 1,049 euros
- Galaxy S22 + with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage: 1,099 euros
- Galaxy S22 Ultra with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage: 1,249 euros
- Galaxy S22 Ultra with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage: 1,349 euros
- Galaxy S22 Ultra with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage: 1,449 euros
Whoever said S22 series was to be cheaper, didn’t think of Covid, parts shortages and inflation.
Actual official EURO prices:
S22 8/128GB=849
S22 8/256GB=899
S22+ 8/128GB = 1049
S22+ 8/256GB = 1099
S22 Ultra 8/128GB = 1249
S22 Ultra 12/256GB = 1349
S22 Ultra 12/512GB = 1449 pic.twitter.com/QRnfrhkzTz—Roland Quandt (@rwhent) January 22, 2022
The problem with the Ultra model is that it costs as much as its predecessor… while having less RAM. Indeed, it had 12 GB of RAM, compared to 8 GB here. Suffice to say that this step back is a disappointment.
Samsung has already confirmed that it will organize an Unpcacked conference in February to unveil its new smartphones. But the group has not yet communicated the day. Rumor has it February 9th.
