11 Christmas anime to give yourself a gift

The year is almost over and it’s Christmas time. It’s cold outside, gray and now and then it might snow. Time to cuddle up, drink tea or cocoa and comfortable to watch one or the other anime. We have selected a few for you that are ideal for this.

Santa Claus is just packing his sleigh and polishing Rudolph’s nose. We don’t have such a harder job. We’d rather present you a few Christmas anime with which you can sweeten your Christmas days.

Tokyo Godfathers is all about charity and an adventurous journey. The homeless trio Gin, Hana and Miyuki find an abandoned baby. The little foundling touches the hearts of the team, but they all agree that the child must be returned to the parents’ care.

The search leads the three across Tokyo, out of the slums in which they usually frequent. On their journey they experience all sorts of things and in the end they not only find a safe place for the baby, but also themselves.

Actually, Ryuuji Takasu is a normal high school student and easy to get along with. Due to his grim eyes, which his father bequeathed to him, he has to put up with the fact that most people consider him a bad thug.

At the beginning of the new school year, however, he meets a person of whom the students are even more afraid than of him: Taiga Aisaka, also known as the Palmtop Tiger. When the two find that they each love each other’s friend, they form an alliance of convenience to couple each other up.

Episode 19 of the anime is all about having a fun Christmas with friends.

Itsudatte My Santa tells the story of a boy named Santa who is alone on Christmas Eve and meets a girl who introduces herself as Santa Claus. They spontaneously decide to spend the night together and in the end it is the funniest and best Christmas present the boy has ever had.

Winter Sonata is based on the South Korean series. Joon-sang is looking for his biological father. On a school trip, he rescues his schoolmate Yu-jin. The two get closer and gradually manages to warm his cold heart before he suddenly disappears from her life.

They meet again for ten years. Yu-jin is about to get married, but a small flame of love for Joon-sang still burns in her heart.

Takemoto Yuuta, Mayama Takumi and Morita Shinobu go to college and share an apartment. Their teacher Hanamoto introduces them to his cousin’s daughter – a new and beautiful student named Hagumi. Takemoto and Morita immediately fall in love with her and try to conquer her. Their characters are totally opposite, which leads to very funny situations.

Mayama, in turn, loves an architect named Rika. However, she still mourns her deceased husband. His fate of one-sided love changes after it is discovered that his classmate Yamada Ayumi is in love with him.

Episode 4 is all about Christmas.

The girl Dejiko works in a cafe. When she is walking home from work on Christmas Eve, she runs into Takurou. At this point, they do not yet know that they will run into each other more often and develop a close relationship.

The exciting school days of Tomoya, Nagisa and their friends are coming to an end. “After Story” continues the story of the first “Clannad” season and follows the further lives of the characters.

You are wondering how things should go on after school, but first of all enjoy a nice Christmas party together.

She is fresh from high school and Yui is already faced with a problem: Which club should she join? She has neither special interests nor talents. In the end she ends up in the pop music club, where Ritsu, Mio and Tsumogi have been waiting longingly for a new member to save their group from breaking up. Although Yui can neither play an instrument nor read notes, she brings in new momentum.

Thanks to the lively Yui, the series’s Christmas episode is also very exciting.

New to high school, Hoto Cocoa gets lost in a coffee shop called Rabbit House while searching for a place to stay. There she works with the calm and cool Chino, the sporty Rize as well as Chia and Syaro. The mascot of Rabbit House Tippy is also part of the party. It doesn’t behave like a rabbit at all, however.

Episode 11 is all about a Merry Christmas.

Lucky Star is all about the everyday life of the four students Konata, Kagami, Tsukasa and Miyuki as well as friends and family. Everything is going well, but because of her excessive consumption of anime and video games, Konata’s performance in school is suffering, which Kagami constantly comments with sarcastic comments.

The Christmas episode also offers humorous conversations and lots of entertainment.

The Christmas special takes place shortly after the series ends. Maehara Shinobu wants to confess her love to her Urashima-senpai, Keitaro wants to talk to Narusegawa about feelings and Mutsumi also has a special kind of confession.

But that’s not all, because then there’s Narus Christmas present with a mysterious letter. All of this calls for confusion and misunderstanding.
