Lightyear Two: New solar car from the Netherlands should cost only 30,000 euros
The Lightyear One solar car, developed in the Netherlands, can travel over 700 kilometers, but costs just under 150,000 euros. The successor Lightyear Two will be significantly cheaper at 30,000 euros, but will go into production in 2024 at the earliest.
In May 2019, the Dutch startup Lightyear, which emerged from a solar car project at the TU Eindhoven, presented its first car, the Lightyear One, to the public for the first time.
