Open hotel rooms with your iPhone? It’s now possible (at one hotel)
iPhone and Apple Watch users can now open hotel rooms with their devices. Provided they stay in a Hyatt hotel, that is. Immediately after a reservation you will receive a key, which you can put in your Wallet app. It works from check-in time.
After arrival, bring your Apple Watch or your iPhone to the NFC receiver, where you normally hold your room access card. This is often right next to your hotel door. You will then hear a light ‘click’ and the door will unlock.

More proof: iPhone 14 Pro gets punch-hole design
The reliable Korean website The Elec reports that the iPhone 14 Pro models launching in 2022 are likely to have a punch-hole design. This is a design where the camera is hidden behind a hole in the screen. Many Android devices already have such a camera hole in the display.
Both the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to have the updated design. The notch that has been used since the iPhone X will disappear on the high-end iPhones.

When will the HomePod (mini) come to the Netherlands?
The HomePod is still not officially sold in the Netherlands, but that seems to be changing soon. In iOS 15.2, a Dutch language option has appeared in the Woning app.
This allows the HomePod to talk and answer in Dutch. This would mean that the release of the HomePod (mini) in the Netherlands will not be long in coming.

‘Not one, not two, but three Apple Watch models in 2022’
Usually, Apple comes out with one new version of its smartwatch in a calendar year. In 2021 that was the Apple Watch Series 7. But in 2022 Apple will probably release three Apple Watch models, reports Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
The new Apple Watch in 2022 will be an Apple Watch Series 8, the new Apple Watch SE and an extreme sports version. Kuo is almost always right in his predictions, so chances are his statements are correct.

New iPhone SE on the way
There are new indications that Apple will release a third-generation iPhone SE in the near future. Several Apple suppliers are preparing to ship parts for the iPhone SE 3, which should appear in 2022.
The most important innovations of the iPhone SE 2022 are probably 5G support and a more powerful chip. Apple will probably put the A15 Bionic chip in it. This is the processor of iPhone 13 series and latest iPad mini.
