If you are looking forward to the war strategy Company of Heroes 3 from Relic and Segy, you should definitely not miss its multiplayer pre-alpha version. According to them, the developers offer an exclusive tasting of the multiplayer game, which can be registered via the CoH-Development portal. If you have already played an earlier preview version, the new version should automatically appear in your Steam library. And you should pay attention even if you don’t like the online game too much, because you can also face artificial intelligence and then you have a tactical break at your disposal.
You can compete on four Italian maps – Twin Beaches, Pachino Farmlands, Torrente and Aere Perennius – the first of which is 1v1 and the remaining three 2v2.
The demo is available free of charge and offers the opportunity to try American and German units. According to the authors, the goal is to get feedback from players, test the balance of units as well as specific functions that are still under development. Pre-alpha will run until December 6. According to the developers, the window is narrow so that as many people as possible can gather and players do not have to wait in unnecessary queues for partners. At the same time, the team asks the participants to fill in the prepared questionnaire based on their experience, which is available from the main menu of the game.
As a public version, it is possible to stream the game and discuss it with other fans in any way. Of course, the authors point out that the game is far from finished and, of course, not fully optimized in terms of performance or hardware requirements. You can choose a solitary fight against AI, cooperation with another player against AI and PvP modes.
Italian troops arrive at the game
According to Relic, we can already enjoy new units and technology and some of the innovations that the trio will bring in gameplay. In the full version, additional pages will be added, better communication tools, additional maps, including 3v3 and 4v4 variants, and the corresponding modes. Specifically, the authors attract Italian units, which players call for. According to the studio, they will come into play next year, and we will probably touch them before the full version comes out.
