Samsung has already opened the floodgates for the Galaxy S21 for the update to Android 12. More devices will follow in the near future, and this also includes the Galaxy S10, the Galaxy S10+ and the Galaxy S10e. With these three models, something will change with the update to Android 12, Oculus reports. The manufacturer of the well-known VR glasses, including the Gear VR headset, reports that the Gear VR will no longer be supported by the three smartphones after the update to Android 12.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 series was one of the last devices that still offered support for Samsung’s VR glasses. The glasses appeared on the market six years ago. A virtual reality environment could be shown by placing the phone in the holder of the Gear VR. Earlier this year, Oculus announced that it will stop supporting the Gear VR and several applications have already been taken off the air.
