Xiaomi’s security policy is among the best in the world

A report by the IoT Security Foundation showed that Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is one of the companies with the best security policy. Another 20 international companies can boast of this title this year.

The IoT Security Foundation has placed companies on a “green” list that not only responsibly approach user security, but also meet additional security criteria for the organization. In addition to Xiaomi, other technology giants such as Google, LG, Microsoft or Motorola are on this list. On the contrary, on the “orange” list with worse politics, we find well-known names such as Apple, Huawei, OPPO, Samsung, Fitbit and many others.

We know Xiaomi as one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in the world, but currently it is in charge of another 374.5 million active smart devices. The company has been fulfilling its safety responsibilities for several years, for example since 2019 it has been transparent about how it adheres to safety principles at all stages of the product life cycle. In the future, it is committed to continuing to increase the security of its products.
