‘Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 can cause ear irritation’
Several users of the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 earphones are talking on social media about the skin irritations that the use of the earphones has led to. It is not certain what exactly caused it, but one of the users was reportedly hospitalized.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 issues
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 are an excellent pair of wireless earphones, that’s for sure and we’ve already discussed it extensively in the review. However, that does not alter the fact that a small group of users have had a much less good experience with the product. An editor from Android Central addresses the issues with users on Reddit and other social media.
These are always people who have used the wireless earphones on a regular basis and for longer listening sessions. They report that the Buds 2 cause irritation in the ears and one of the victims spent four days in hospital because of a serious form of cellulitis, a skin condition.
Everything indicates that the earphones provoke an allergic reaction in those certain users. Initially, the caps were looked at as they come into contact with the skin the most, but when replaced with a third-party alternative, the problems persisted. It therefore seems that the material of the ears is the culprit along with the close fit. They are made with, among other things, nickel and acrylate, which could trigger an allergic reaction.
Lawsuit started
Samsung does not mention any warnings about possible allergic reactions on its website. Sammobile knows that the company will refund the price of the earphones to duped users and it will also pay any medical costs.
However, some users have already started a lawsuit against Samsung and the last word on these problems has not yet been said. Do you have Galaxy Buds 2 earphones and have you also suffered from allergic reactions? Let us know in the comments at the bottom of this article.
