In 2020, according to the Economic Bureau of ING, an average of 84 euros per person was spent with Sinterklaas. And that is more than the year before, when people paid an average of 77 euros. More than half of the gifts were ordered online due to the coronavirus. A lot more than in 2019, when it was 38 percent.

Big differences
How much we spend on average varies a lot for each assistant Santa Claus. For example, a third puts more than a hundred euros worth of gifts in the bag. But that amount is not that high for everyone: one in five has an average budget of twenty euros. Fortunately, you can also score something nice for a few bucks.
