DurchSTARTer-Preis 2021: Lower Saxony celebrates its startups
In 2021, Lower Saxony’s startups continued to write success stories, failed and got back up, researched and developed. The DurchSTARTer Prize is the opportunity to prepare the stage for up-and-coming companies from Lower Saxony and to celebrate them for their innovative strength and courage.
Our specialist juries selected twelve final teams from over 80 applications. They compete in the categories newcomer / scale-up, science spin-off, life science and social innovation and present themselves and their ideas, solutions and visions on December 6th on the stage of the pavilion cultural center in Hanover.

The DurchSTARTer Prize is organized in a joint initiative of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics, Labor, Transport and Digitization, the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture, the Lower Saxony Investment and Development Bank – NBank, the startup.niedersachsen initiative and the Lower Saxony employers’ associations (UVN) . Moderator Janine Drynda welcomes top-class representatives from politics, business and science on stage, who give insights into the unique Lower Saxony startup scene and share their experiences.
Of course, there is more than just applause and warm words for the winning teams. Prize money in the amount of over 40,000 euros is to be distributed. In addition, the finalists are supported by a mentoring board that accompanies and coaches the startups in their further development.
