Google Photos gets a great feature. Will it suit you?
In June, Google released an update on Pixel phones that allows users to secure their photos and videos via code in the Google Photos app. The American company today confirmed that this feature will reach all other phones with the Android operating system, which is certainly great news.
Locked folder soon in Google Photos
The feature was first demonstrated by Google at its Google I / O 2021 conference. A new item will appear in the application “Locked folder”, where you can hide your selected photos and videos, so they will not be visible in the regular gallery. Specifically, it will be available in the section Library> Tools> Locked Folder. They will not back up anywhere and of course not even share, to access them you will need to enter a pin or prove yourself with a fingerprint / face.
For added security, screenshots will not be taken in this folder, and you basically have only two actions available – move and delete. Google said the feature will be expanded soon on all phones running Android 6.0 or later.
Would you use this feature?
