great phone for an interesting price

We won’t lie to each other, the realme company makes us a bit of a jerk. In March of this year, she presented us with a really interesting realme GT, the review of which you can read on our website, and a few months later she will present two more – realme GT Master Edition a realme GT Master Explorer Edition. Yes, we know. It is not easy to know all the models. However, it is unnecessary to solve the differences between the individual models, as the Explorer version is not sold in our country. However, this does not mean that the real GT Master Edition does not deserve attention. This is a relatively interesting, although not flawless phone.

realme has shown several times that some other manufacturers could teach you what the accessories that came with your phone should look like. A solid paper box gives the impression at first glance that you bought a more expensive phone. After opening, you will basically see the phone immediately, but that is far from the end. It goes without saying USB-A / USB-C charging cable and SuperDart adapter, thanks to which you can charge your phone at the maximum possible speed. The icing on the cake is then silicone cover, which has a relatively smooth surface and the phone fits very well in the hand. So there is nothing to complain about.

Appearance and quality of workmanship

In our photos you can see a white color variant, but you can also choose from gray, the design of which was designed by a well-known industrial designer in Asia. Naoto Fukusawa. We personally like it a bit more, because its back is made of vegan leather, which makes the phone more interesting. We are used to this material in the realme GT, so we would not be afraid to reach for this variant again. White is more conservative and its back is made of polycarbonate. In addition, you will find a module with three cameras and a silver realme sign. In addition to the audio jack, you will also find an audio jack on the bottom one loud speaker, you will miss the stereo effect of the realme GT Master Edition. We would even label it as one of the main disadvantages of the phone. In our opinion, the second speaker should have been there.

OnePlus Nord 2 exploded again. This time right in the courtroom

That it was saved? So the phone was supposed to be a few hundred more expensive. What’s the point of the performance and great display when you’re most likely covering the single speaker with your hand when playing or playing videos? This definitely does not belong to the upper middle class. It can also disappoint someone absence of any IP certification. Otherwise, the processing is at a relatively high level, although for example with the OnePlus Nord 2 5G it is slightly better. It is the comparison with this model that the phone will not avoid in other parts of our review. This is a phone from a similar price category, which we have been using as our daily phone for about two months.

Displej really GT Master

The display is one of the main attractions of the realme GT Master Edition phone. It is about 6.43 ″ Super AMOLED panel with 2400 x 1080 resolution (Full HD +) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. In the settings, you can choose whether to leave the refresh rate mode automatically, 60 Hz or 120 Hz. Basically, we had absolutely nothing to complain about during the testing. The sampling frequency then has a peak value 360 Hz, so you probably understand that the response to touch is fantastic. Really, in this price category you will find in vain such a great display. Thanks to him, you will feel that everything on the phone happens immediately, which is what a fast chipset or a relatively well-tuned system also contributes. But about that later.

Hardware and performance

Under the hood of the realme GT Master Edition is ticking the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset in combination with 6/8 GB RAM and 128 / 256GB storage. Again, we can afford a comparison with the OnePlus Nord 2 5G, which contains the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, which is slightly more powerful (according to AnTuT by about 25%), but Snapdragon traditionally leads in the field of energy efficiency. In the Geekbench benchmark, you he earned a score of 778 points per core, and 2912 points in a multi-core test. These are still very good values.

Such an Exynos 990 ticking in the Galaxy Note20 Ultra would lose the fight with the Snapdragon 778G. So there’s probably no need to mention in any lengthy way that the phone is going like clockwork, it can handle several open applications at once, and if you like to play, Genshin Impact or Black Desert: Mobile won’t get it in trouble.

System

The one who had one of the first realme phones will surely agree with us that the realme AI was not the real thing. Although the system was relatively clean, which suits us, but frequent application crashes, choppy animations or accidental phone restarts spoiled the experience. The company has worked with its second-generation superstructure on this, and we must admit that we like the real superstructures of realme and OnePlus phones (except for Pixels) the most of all Android phones.
