Motorola’s new phone is so good it could spark a price war
When you think of inexpensive cell phones, you immediately think of brands that come from China. But there is another way, as Motorola shows. The new Moto G60s from the cult manufacturer is so well equipped that it could shake up the already competitive middle class.
Whether Realme, Oppo or of course the new frontrunner Xiaomi: With their aggressive pricing strategy, China manufacturers have taken the smartphone world by storm. Traditional brands such as Motorola, on the other hand, have fallen behind. With the Moto G60s, the cult manufacturer now has a smartphone up its sleeve to strike back.
What Makes the Moto G60s So Attractive?
At a price of 249 euros, the Moto G60s offers equipment that is impressive. The highlights include:
- 6.8-inch display (LCD, 2,460 x 1,080 pixels, 120 Hz)
- Eight-core processor (MediaTek Helio G95) with up to 2.05 GHz
- 4 GB of RAM
- 128 GB memory (expandable)
- Quadruple camera: 64 MP (f / 1.7) + 8 MP (f / 2.2) + 5 MP (f / 2.4) + 2 MP (f / 2.4)
- 16 MP front camera
- 5,000 mAh battery (fast charging with 50 watts, suitable power supply included)
- Water-repellent design according to IP52
There is rarely so much equipment for 249 euros. In particular, the 120 Hz display, the expandable memory of 128 GB and the large 5,000 mAh battery are remarkable – especially since the Moto G60s also includes a suitable power supply unit, which many more expensive devices currently have to do without. What is missing, however, is an OLED display and 5G, for example. But at this price, that’s maybe a little too much to ask.
