Will Honor himself end up on the US blacklist?

US trade and political sanctions currently they greatly afflict the Chinese company Huawei, may eventually apply to Honor. The brand, which was previously part of Huawei and was sold precisely because of the negative effects of the well-known case, is a thorn in the side of some Republican members of the House of Representatives. According to them, there are still very close ties between the companies and even the independent Honor poses a threat. And they therefore propose his inclusion on the so-called Entity List, where his former parent company is located.

Huawei’s sanctions are indeed crushing. After cutting off US technology from processors to Google services and applications, the company is constantly mobile phone and tablet sales numbers are falling. When the Chinese giant sold its Honor brand at the end of last year, it freed it from the “clutches” of these restrictions. For example, the independent company has since been able to announce a return to Google applications, and the introduction of its flagship Honor 50 mobile series is expected.

A total of 14 members of the US House of Representatives but argues that this condition denies the original restrictions and that Honor should be included in the list of unwanted companies. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has so far told Republican politicians that it is “always happy to welcome the opinion of the House and is constantly checking for new information for the reasonable listing of companies on the Entity List.” This statement confirms or does not completely deny anything concrete, so we have to wait to see if there will be anything from the mentioned objection.
