apps and Wear OS 3 featured in teaser video
In a teaser video of the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Classic version, we see the watch’s software in action. Wear OS 3, the watchfaces, health features and Google Maps can all be seen. The Galaxy Watch 4 series will be released on August 11.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 teasers
The launch of Samsung’s new smartwatch is approaching and the wings of the rumor mill are therefore spinning at high speed. This time we get to see Samsung’s new One UI Watch interface, which is based on Google’s Wear OS 3. It concerns two teaser videos that on Twitter leaked by Sammobile.
The first thing that stands out is the design of the interface, because we see that app icons are not in a list, but in a grid view, which is reminiscent of the Apple Watch. As far as the watch faces are concerned, we notice that especially the Classic variant comes with classic watch dials. With the regular Galaxy Watch 4 it is all a bit more playful and more abstract.

Apps and health features
The teaser videos also show us the navigation of Google Maps, but they mainly focus on the health features. We see a widget that displays the sleep analysis, the pedometer and a function that can calculate the user’s body fat percentage. Previously, there was already a hint towards such a sensor for Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA), and this video confirms that it is coming.
In addition, we also expect other health metrics to come with the Watch 4, such as blood pressure monitoring, EKGs, blood oxygen measurement, and more. Amazon recently shared details about the Classic version and we also got to see good images in 360 degrees. But we won’t see the full picture until the watch is unveiled on August 11 during Galaxy Unpacked.
