We often have a beautiful flower put on our leg with henna on holiday. In Marrakesh we asked a man in a souvenir shop if he knew a good address. He immediately called his sister who came to the shop with her things. But there is also a reliable henna cafe where you can get such a henna tattoo.

With a guide and mule you can hike from hut to hut in the Atlas Mountains. You will then sleep with the locals. There are also several waterfalls that you can visit accompanied by a guide in the Toubkal region. Another recommendation: a trip to the desert. It is a long drive, so allow two to three days. For both tours you can go to your hotel or riad.

Attraction
The Jardin Majorelle is a lovely botanical garden just outside the medina. It’s very popular, so make sure you go early.

Palace-plus
Nice: at the El Badi palace you will encounter many storks. Nala and Anne’s sons thought it was special to see all those animals nesting in the ruins there. From the old palace walls you have a beautiful view over the city.

Good spot
In the Ourika Valley in the Atlas Mountains you will find countless terraces on the water, with beautiful views of the snow-capped peaks.

The yoga center where we stayed, Salama Ayurveda, is located in the Toubkal National Park. The owner is Dutch-Moroccan. They also have a guide and driver for outings and walks.

Very friendly people work in Riad Villa Almeria. It is beautifully decorated and from the roof terrace with swimming pool you have a nice view over the medina. And the food is so delicious.
