Beware of this murder door in Call Of Duty!

There are many reports of a mysterious murder door that you should not walk through in Call of Duty.

A Call of Duty: Warzone player on Reddit found a bug where a certain door in the salt mining facility kills you instantly when you touch it. At least, we think it’s a bug. Other players have also experienced the wrath of the murder door. This is of course all recorded in a video, watch it below.

No one in the Reddit thread knows what’s causing this. It looks like a bug. If this is the case, it will presumably be resolved by Activision soon. There are rumors that it could have something to do with how the door used to be open, namely not closed at all. Or that it could have something to do with ‘red doors’: doors that were used to instantly travel through the map. The suggested idea was that if there was a red door elsewhere in the room, that would lead you out into the map.

Technic

Doors are not that easy to make in a game. It’s a nightmare for developers to turn something so simple in real life into a game. It’s hard because you have to consider sightlines, AI walkways, bullet trails, open, closed and so on.

It’s not the first strange thing to happen in Warzone: bugs like invisible helicopters and holes in the map have already occurred. So now watch out for the murder door, find it in the big building at the ‘Salt Mine’ but don’t run into it.
