Flight Simulator is even more in favor of console players -apkrig

Just a month separates players from the release of the fantastic Flight Simulator on the Xbox. During the Microsoft and Bethesda conference at E3, we were able to watch a new trailer with footage from the console version, we also learned the specific release date, which falls on July 27, and we could embark on a debate about what the game will actually look like on the Xbox Series. Over the past few days, the developers have confirmed that although Flight Simulator will run on Series X in 4K, it will only slightly exceed 30 frames per second, only on VRR-enabled TVs or displays, but we don’t see it as a loss either, and we’ve been honestly eager for more. information. Their supply was taken care of by the head of developers from Asobo, Jörg Neumann, who spoke at yesterday’s expanded Microsoft presentation and spoke about the changes they have made to console players in Flight Simulator. And right at the beginning we can calm you down – there was no simplification of the simulation, but the addition of new elements that will help with the adoption of the game even for those who come into contact with the famous series for the first time.

The first of the planned improvements are the so-called sightseeing flights, in which most operations with the aircraft will be on the instructor and the player will enter the aircraft’s own control only through a stick and at most through power control. As mentioned above, it’s not an effort by developers to deprive players of the ability to fully immerse themselves in piloting – the options will remain the same as on a PC – but rather to show completely new players what Flight Simulator looks like and what they can expect from it. Neumann mentioned that during these flights we will also visit tourist attractions, because the graphic design of the game is an integral part of the whole experience and the developers logically want to show places that could arouse further interest in exploring different parts of the world. “We have selected 10 places on Earth, some of which are among the most attractive, such as Mount Everest, Rio de Janeiro, New York or the pyramids, and we will simply put you on a plane that is ready to fly. The weather is nice and all you have to do is fly, ”says the game designer.

Hand in hand with the descriptions of the sights, there is also a driving assistant, which allows you to look around without worries, choose other interesting places to explore and not be afraid of a possible accident.

The second thing that is supposed to encourage the mentioned exploration are the labels of interesting places and cities. Since Flight Simulator processes data from Bing maps, there is nothing easier than to use this layer in the game, so on the consoles – and we guess that after the update on the PC – players will see on the map before the flight and directly in the landscape labels. Of course, these can be turned off if specific players don’t care about them, which can be said about a number of other settings, if you want to make Flight Simulator simulator. Hand in hand with the labels then goes the third novelty, ie the driving assistant, which allows you to look around without worries, choose other sights to explore and not be afraid of a possible accident. The system can determine where to move smoothly, or at which airport to land, but again we should understand these options as another mode, which is not mandatory and does not crowd out other ways of playing.

A reworked tutorial, which will offer more shorter lessons – from eight to 22 – will also seem very useful, explaining directly how to control the plane and evaluating the player at the end. The purpose is to evoke a taste, return to individual lessons and try to be even better than in previous attempts, which should contribute even better to the understanding and mastery of the game. In addition to takeoff, simple and advanced maneuvers and analysis of the operation of individual instruments, the player’s tutorial will of course also teach how to land, which, according to Neumann, is something that players still do not do well. Whether it’s the need to control the plane really sensitively, or simply the fear of big airports, the people of Asoba decided to give the players a little more freedom and remove all fear and uncertainty. Many aircraft have been supplemented with floats or skis in certain versions, and in the spirit of the new “Land anywhere” system, the game will offer more opportunities for landing.

At the end of his speech, Neumann confirmed that the release of the console version does not mean a stop for improving the game on computers, and promised that in the coming months, players can expect one major update per month and many smaller updates on an irregular basis. One of the most important things is the so-called World Updates, in which Asobo selects individual regions or large cities, manually intervenes in their earlier semi-automatic generation and significantly improves them. Scandinavia has undergone the latest improvements, with suddenly improved data for 100 airports and the addition of 77 carefully selected places of interest that you can visit during your air walks. At the same time, we are supposed to expect that surprising expansions may appear in the future, as will be the case with the combination of Flight Simulator and the film Top Gun: Maverick. Unfortunately, Neumann did not bring any details to him beyond the trailer we have already seen and only indicated that it will fly really fast and that we will enter danger zones.
