March: the amazing selfie of the Chinese Rover Zhurong

The Chinese Rover Zhurong will he steal the show from the american Perseverance ? In the game of the most “glamorous” Martian photo, Zhurong has undoubtedly just won a decisive point thanks to a truly stunning selfie. This shot of the Rover full center was taken by a mini remote control camera that the rover voluntarily dropped to the ground! Another photo shows the platform that allowed the Rover to reach the surface of Mars (a few days after the platform landed on Mars on May 14).

The Chinese space agency (CNSA) was of course rushed to publish these two high resolution photos on June 11, photos which are arguably among the most beautiful ever taken on the surface of Mars. For information, these two images show us a region of Mars called Utopia Panitia which is located in the northern hemisphere of the red planet.
