With the announcement by De Speld that it will thaw this weekend, the summer holidays (and the summer itself) are finally in sight. Androidworld couldn’t be left behind; the summer mood already came up in the editorial, including in the AW Poll. Today you will read the answer to the question of what you all carry on holiday, and no: it is not just telephones.

Holiday in sight

We are now on the eve of the holiday season. A time to enjoy the warmth both indoors and outdoors and to go out with friends or family. Fortunately, there is also more: more and more corona rules are being relaxed. When traveling abroad, make sure that you make the necessary preparations, such as performing a PCR corona test. If you are going on holiday within European territory, you can read all European corona rules in the ‘Re-open EU’ app.

However, preparing for holidays is much more than reading the corona rules. It also starts with planning (walking) activities, or planning trips with public transport abroad. For many technology enthusiasts, technological products – such as telephones, speakers, earphones, or a camera – cannot be missed from the packing list.

So don’t forget to think about what you will need in advance and write it down if necessary. And, while you’re writing: also think of all the chargers that are needed. Nothing is more sour than forgetting a charger for your smartwatch, camera or other product, so you can’t use it.

My trolley is at least a quarter filled with technological products, from speakers to an extra telephone, headphones, chargers and a camera. For our last AW Poll – which was completely devoted to the upcoming summer holidays – we asked you about the products that fit in your suitcases, trolleys or backpacks. The results show that the phone is the most important, it really should not be missed on vacation. Headphones or earphones should also not be missed, and you like to top up your devices with a power bank for your holiday.

Keeping track of (sports) activities should also not be missed for your holiday trips, so you can stay active during the warm holiday period. There are apparently few, if any, ‘Androidworld readers’ who don’t even take a phone with you on holiday. So you actually always have a connected holiday. Hopefully the notifications will go out, so that you can start your holiday without stress.
