Thanks to microdosing, Shinta can be the mother she loves to be
In the TV show ’30 and never unhappy again’, Shinta Lempers tells that microdosing helps her to be a happy, less stressed mother.
The trend already exists in America: thousands of mothers use very small amounts of truffles to be a more relaxed mother to their children. They call themselves “microdosing moms.” Shinta is a mother of two and takes 1.2 grams of truffles once every four days. “You flow very well through the day, but you don’t hallucinate.”
Better mother thanks to truffles
“It definitely helped me be the mother I love to be,” says Shinta. She suffered from a lot of stress and she can handle it better thanks to the microdosing of truffles. “Before I was a mother, I could actually manage my stress levels much better, but I found it difficult when my oldest daughter turned two and she started talking.”
She found it difficult that she was mirrored by her daughter all the time. “Everything you do, your child imitates. That is just quite confronting.” She then began to delve into microdosing and decided to give it a try. “For me, microdosing is not a means to meet everything, but it is of course true that we have a busy life. I don’t use it to ‘deal with my hard life’.”
A panacea
She doesn’t want to go through with it forever. “If my behavior has really changed and everything goes smoothly, then I don’t need it anymore,” she says. “I now experience more peace when she asks me something,” explains Shinta. “She often has a lot to say right away and then it comes in better. I better listen to her and don’t try to force her into my line right away.”
Allan, Shinta’s friend, even calls it “a panacea”. “She has more patience and less stress,” he says. There used to be disagreements between the two, but since Shinta started microdosing, that has become a lot less.
Not afraid of reactions
Shinta is not afraid of reactions. “I’m not afraid people think ‘she can’t do without it’, but I am aware that a lot of mothers can manage well without truffles. I think you can find your own mix of tools to make sure you are the mom you want to be. That is different for everyone.”
