Sky receiver: Find & install update

To ensure that all functions of the Sky receiver work properly, the device should always be kept up to date. But a software update for the Sky receiver can also help with problems. You can find out how to manually check for an update here.

Depending on whether you use the “Sky Q Receiver” or a “Sky Q Mini”, the menu navigation and approach to the software update is slightly different. You can check the latest version for your receiver on the official Sky website.

Sky Q Receiver

1. Switches to one of the live images Sky channels (e.g. channel 100 “Sky Showcase”).
2. Press on the remote control on the button Home.
3. Navigates to the following menu: “My Sky Q” → “Ideas” → “System Info” → “Software Version”
4. The receiver should now search for the current version. If there is an update, you can click the one on the right “Install” button select.

Sky Q Mini

1. Press on the remote control on the button Home.
